Announcing Pierre-Yves Macé's Passagenweg

You should already know Pierre-Yves Macé as a member of ON trio, who released Second Souffle last year on Brocoli.
Pierre-Yves has already issued brilliant albums on Tzadik, Sub Rosa & Orkhestra labels, collaborating with Sylvain Chauveau, That Summer, quatuor Pli, writter Mathieu Larnaudie, artists Rainier Lericolais, Gaëlle Hippolyte, Gaëlle Boucand and Clotilde Viannay.
Passagenweg is its latest masterpiece, a work of musique concrète based on recordings of French songs from the 1920's, and inspired by Walter Benjamin's Passages. The album will be out on Brocoli in January 2009.

Minizza, That Summer, Rainier Lericolais & Pierre-Yves Macé live at Electroni-k

Minizza will play with friends Rainier Lericolais & That Summer at the Electroni-k festival in St Brieuc, on Saturday October 11th, 7pm at the Parking des Promenades.

This quartet will perform a soundtrack to Chantal Akerman's silent movie Hôtel Monterey (1972).

That Summer will also play some tracks of his new album, recorded this August at Tarwater's studio, with Nikolu at 6pm on the same day and same location.

Pierre-Yves Macé (ON collaborator) will also play at this festival, but in Rennes, on Friday October 17th.

Pierrick Servais is one of the most promising French short film director. His J'ai vomi dans mes cornflakes video has been watched hundred of thousand of times and won many awards. He kindly arranged some videos for two Minizza tracks : Y a-t-il de l'eau sur Mars ? and En forêt.
