He has collaborated/recorded/performed with the likes of Christian Fennesz, Sylvain Chauveau, Stefan Németh, Robert Hampson, David Daniell, Helge Sten, Martin Seiwert, Machinefabriek, and Jon Mueller, among many others.

He's performed internationally at Mutek Festival (CAN), Adventures In Modern Music - Presented by the WIRE, TodaysArt Festival (NL), Unsound (POL), Dis-Patch (Serbia), Decibel Festival (US), CTM 09 (DE), Musique Action Festival (FR), SXSW (US), Chicago Sound Maps 2010 (US), Hopscotch Festival (US), Interzone Festival (Serbia), and has toured throughout North America, Europe and Japan.

Exhibition/Performance at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago - Haptic + Lisa Slodki "Triptych", November 2009 (12x12 Gallery).

Lincoln Park Conservatory, Chicago - Requiem sound installation by Annie Feldmeier Adams and Steven Hess. Sept. 19 2010 - Jan. 31, 2011 (Fern Room). In collaboration with Experimental Sound Studios' Florasonic series.

Works for theatre include:

• The Empire Builders (Boris Vian), Theatre Group: Sense of Urgency. *Soundtrack/score can be found at Longbox Recordings (Dropp Ensemble).
• Joan Dark (Directed by Aida Karic) - Linz, Austria (June '09), in collaboration with the Goodman Theatre (Chicago). Music by Jorge Sanchez-Chiong, and performed by Hess/Mills/Stein.
